Red Sea

The reefs and under-water marine life of the Red Sea are the most beautiful and exotic found anywhere in the world. The Red Sea is world famous for its coral reefs and snorkeling, diving, sailing, windsurfing are all very popular. The Sharm, north of the town of Yanbu, is an excellent area for water sports and is extensively used for weekend family relaxation, sailing, diving, snorkeling and other recreational activities.

Naturally, there are marine hazards in the Red Sea. Sports enthusiasts must be alert to these dangers to avoid injury. They should be aware of basic first aid treatment in the event poisonous marine life is encountered. Employees and their dependents who wish to take up snorkeling or scuba diving are encouraged to obtain expert advice or enroll in classes before attempting the sport. There are active sailing and sub-aqua diving clubs.
