SAMREF has been recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources for being placed in a high level in the Future Factories Program by adopting advanced technologies and automated solutions to improve and sustain manufacturing and production efficiency. The recognition was during the Riyadh International Industry Week – 2024.
SAMREF took part in the 6th Middle East Process engineering Exhibition and Conference which was held from 06 to 08 May at Dhahran Expo, Saudi Arabia.
During the event sessions, technical papers were delivered by SAMREF engineers, namely on (Enhancing Safety and Emergency Response in Industrial Processes) by AlMuhannad I. Basuni and (Advanced Process Control Tools Toward Plant Optimization) by Safi M. Albuhairi. In addition, two papers on (The Deployment of New Technologies and Initiatives in SAMREF SRU) and (SAMREF SRU Catalyst Management, Retrofit and Optimization Initiatives During the 2023 T/A) were delivered by Khalid S. Ghazal.
Such a participation was in line with SAMREF strategy to strengthen its leading position while allowing employees to gain more knowledge and exchange experiences with other industries.
As part of SAMREF-CSR programs, “Tatweer” initiative was implemented in association with Yanbu College of Applied Technology. The target group included beneficiaries from charity societies, social security, Education Takaful and orphans.
The initiative covered a series of training courses in advanced cellphone maintenance, computer/printer software/hardware, domestic electrical cabling, welding skills, filmmaking and e-marketing. Such courses are to promote living levels and create new job opportunities for local community individuals.
On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a 2-day entertainment therapy exhibition for persons with disabilities was organized at Dana Mall in association with Mashorah Family Guidance center.
The event was part of SAMREF-CSR initiatives to provide a variety of awareness and Q&A sessions to promote physical, mental and social wellness of persons with special needs through entertainment-based therapy tools.
As part of the SAMREF-PR, CSR & Media initiatives, a blood donation campaign was organized in collaboration with Yanbu Health Cluster (IV).
The campaign was to promote overall health awareness and strengthen the life-saving culture of blood donation among the employees in support of the local community wellbeing.
In support of the local community in general and the sports sector in particular, SAMREF was the sponsor of the 2023 Madinah Horse Race ceremonies I and II.
SAMREF Labor Committee took part in the 2023 Company Heads and Labor Committees Conference and Exhibition organized by the SNCWC under the auspices of the minister of the Human Resources and Social Development, Mr. Ahmed S. Al-Rajhi in the presence of the HRSD deputy minister, Mr. Abdullah N. Abuthnain.
During the event, SAMREF LC was honored for their continuous efforts in support of the SNCWC.
As part of the CSR initiatives, SAMREF conducted Yanbu beach cleanup campaign in collaboration with the Sorting and Recycling Co. For Environmental Services (EADA).
A multitude of SAMREF employees and Yanbu College of Applied Technology students took part in the campaign.
SAMREF board of directors was recently held. It was headed by SAMREF board chairman, Mr. Suleman A. Al-Bargan, to discuss a diverse business agenda related to the strategic plans and goals.
