Process Engineering Section at SAMREF includes 4 divisions; the first 3 divisions represent the main Areas, which are considered by AMREF operations. The fourth Division is related to Process Engineering Projects Design.
- A Area : In this area the Process Engineers provide technical support for the following units: CDU, VDU, Visbreaker, CHD, NHT, CCR, SGP, ISOM and C4 splitter.
- B Area : In this area the Process Engineers provide technical support for the following units: FCC, Alky, MTBE, USGP, Amine and sulfur
- C Area : In this area the Process Engineers provide technical support for the following units: Utilities, Boilers, Offsite, Envi ronment and the oil port.
- Process Engineering Projects Design : this a new division been added to Process engineering section to provide 1st hand assessment and continuous technical follow up for some large scale capital projects the refinery is planning to install during 2006 T/A. The section is currently utilizing an EM Specialist expertise to validate the project scopes and evaluate pro vided options for selected equipment to be installed based on vendor recommendation. Pro II models in addition to his technical knowledge and familiarity of EM design principles are utilized to achieve this objective.
