SAMREF participated as a silver sponsor in the 4th International Fire Operations Conference (IFOC) which was organized by the Civil Defense from 05 to 07 November 2024 under the patronage of Prince/ Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Naif, the Minister of Interior.
SAMREF welcomed many event participants and visitors at its pavilion where experiences were exchanged and cutting-edge technologies were exhibited. Also, SAMREF team took part in the scheduled sessions and workshops that aimed at advancing the forefront of fire safety.
Under the auspices of Yanbu Governor, Mr. Saad Al-Suhaimi, SAMREF-CSR launches “Ihya” on 29 October 2024, in collaboration with Yanbu Municipality, Border Guard, Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the National Center for Environmental Compliance (NECEC) and Sorting and Recycling Co. For Environmental Services (EADA).
The initiative is in continuation of SAMREF-CSR efforts to reinforce community engagement and promote environmental awareness with the objective of cleaning the seabed in protection of the marine environment.
The “SAMREF Tourist Diving Beach” initiative was launched in collaboration with Yanbu Municipality to provide a fully-equipped facility where users can enjoy diving in a safe and comfortable environment.
The initiative is in continuation of SAMRE-CSR efforts to support tourism, sea sports in Saudi Arabia in general, and to promote Yanbu as an advantageous destination in particular. The new beach facility is easily accessible with many features like modern changing rooms, secure diving/sporting tool lockers and relaxing areas.
SAMREF participated in the 10th “A Step Ahead Career Fair” which was held from 02 to 04 October 2024 in Riyadh.
The event brought together more than 60 public and private organizations. It included a variety of workshops and career counselling sessions.

SAMREF employees celebrated the 94th Saudi national day that was conducted under the slogan “We Dream and Achieve”. Also, SAMREF recreation center hosted a family gathering to celebrate this great event.

As part of the investors assembly, the CEO of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), Mr. Khalid Al-Salem recognized SAMREF for winning the 2024 CSR and Sustainability award.
SAMREF has been recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources for being placed in a high level in the Future Factories Program by adopting advanced technologies and automated solutions to improve and sustain manufacturing and production efficiency. The recognition was during the Riyadh International Industry Week – 2024.
SAMREF took part in the 6th Middle East Process engineering Exhibition and Conference which was held from 06 to 08 May at Dhahran Expo, Saudi Arabia.
During the event sessions, technical papers were delivered by SAMREF engineers, namely on (Enhancing Safety and Emergency Response in Industrial Processes) by AlMuhannad I. Basuni and (Advanced Process Control Tools Toward Plant Optimization) by Safi M. Albuhairi. In addition, two papers on (The Deployment of New Technologies and Initiatives in SAMREF SRU) and (SAMREF SRU Catalyst Management, Retrofit and Optimization Initiatives During the 2023 T/A) were delivered by Khalid S. Ghazal.
Such a participation was in line with SAMREF strategy to strengthen its leading position while allowing employees to gain more knowledge and exchange experiences with other industries.
As part of SAMREF-CSR programs, “Tatweer” initiative was implemented in association with Yanbu College of Applied Technology. The target group included beneficiaries from charity societies, social security, Education Takaful and orphans.
The initiative covered a series of training courses in advanced cellphone maintenance, computer/printer software/hardware, domestic electrical cabling, welding skills, filmmaking and e-marketing. Such courses are to promote living levels and create new job opportunities for local community individuals.
